报告摘要：The generalized $k$-connectivity $\kappa_k(G)$ of a graph $G$ was introduced by Hager before 1985. As a natural counterpart, we introduced the concept of generalized $k$-edge-connectivity $\lambda_k(G)$. In this talk we will survey the known results on the generalized connectivity and generalized edge-connectivity, including the generalized (edge-)connectivity of some graph classes, algorithms and computational complexity, sharp bounds of $\kappa_k(G)$ and $\lambda_k(G)$, graphs with large generalized (edge-)connectivity, Nordhaus-Gaddum-type results, graph operations, extremal problems, and some results for random graphs and multigraphs. Some conjectures and open problems are also presented for further studies

李学良教授简介：

1991年获荷兰屯特大学(University of Twente)博士学位，1992年任教授，1996年任博士生导师，1997年教育部跨世纪优秀人才，2006年教育部“组合数学创新团队”负责人，2014年该团队又得到教育部滚动支持，2011年当选为国际数学化学科学院院士，2014年当选为该科学院副主席。1995年新疆自治区有突出贡献的优秀专家，1996年航空工业总公司优秀留学回国人员，1999年西北工大特聘教授，2001年享受国务院政府特殊津贴，2005年南开大学特聘教授。现任南开大学组合数学中心副主任，中国组合数学与图论学会理事长，天津市工业与应用数学学会理事长，天津市数学会副理事长，中国数学会理事，中国工业与应用数学学会理事。《Discrete Applied Mathematics》、《Graphs and Combinatorics》和《MATCH Communications in Mathematical and in Computer Chemistry》等10余种国际杂志编委，《应用数学学报（中、英文版）》和《数学进展》国内杂志编委。30余次(每次一年、半年、三个月等)应邀去美国、德国、加拿大、荷兰、英国、日本、意大利、澳大利亚、香港、墨西哥等国家和地区的大学和研究所进行合作研究和学术交流。

主要从事于图论与组合优化、化学图论、计算机科学理论方面的研究和教学工作。在国内外本领域多种重要学术期刊上发表论文300余篇，4500余篇次被国内外同行学者的论著引用，在Springer出版社出版《Graph Energy》、《Rainbow Connections of Graphs》和《Generalized Connectivity of Graphs》专著3部，在国外出版著作共9部，在高教出版社出版《组合优化》译著1部。主持国家自然科学基金项目9项，参加国家自然科学基金项目5项，并多次主持完成省部级基金项目,作为骨干研究成员参加“973”项目2项，作为子课题负责人参加国家自然科学基金重点项目2项。

培养博士后6人(4人出站)、博士生65人(54人已获博士学位)、硕士生29人(23人已获硕士学位)。
